Deputies with the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department are looking into a burglary that’s believed to have taken place on property in the far  northwest part of the county in the past week and are seeking the public’s help to help solve the case.

The department says sometime between last Friday evening and yesterday morning, someone entered the garage and outbuilding on property owned by Steve Enlow along the 10,000 block of E. State Road 56 near Hillham.

Authorities say Items reported taken from the garage area included a tool box containing large wrenches and an Echo SMR-225 weed trimmer. Items taken from the outbuilding included a Toro LX500 riding mower and a 52-inch cutting deck.

Two ladders were also taken from a deck area of the residence. One was a 6-foot aluminum paint ladder that was green in color with a yellow paint pan and an 11-foot, multi-position aluminum ladder with yellow boots.

The value of the items stolen was estimated at  $2,700.

Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area is asked to call the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department at 812-482-3522. Information can be kept confidential.
