Vice President and Trust Officer for Springs Valley Bank & Trust, Sandra Hemmerlein, was recently awarded the Certified Trust & Financial Advisor designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers, a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association.
The Certified Trust & Financial Advisor designation is awarded to individuals who demonstrate excellence in the field of wealth management and trust. To qualify for the certification, individuals must have certain levels of experience and education in the trust profession, pass an exam, and agree to abide by a code of ethics. That exam covers many areas including fiduciary and trust activities, financial planning, tax law and planning, investment management and ethics.
Hemmerlein is a licensed attorney and has been with SVB & T since June of 2012 as a Trust Officer.
In her position, she administers estates, trusts, IRA accounts and agency accounts and advises clients on financial, estate, tax and charitable planning.
She currently serves as Vice President of the Jasper Kiwanis Club, Secretary of Girls on the Run serving Dubois County and Vice President of the Dubois County Estate Planning Council.
She is a member of the Indiana and Dubois County Bar Associations, Psi Iota Xi philanthropic sorority and Memorial Hospital’s Palliative Care Advisory Board. Sandy and her husband Jason live in Jasper and have two daughters.
SVB & T Senior Vice President and Senior Trust Officer Marty Kaiser says earning the Certified Trust & Financial Advisor designation validates Sandy’s experience and depth of education in the wealth management industry.
