Donald Lee Cherry, age 78, of Huntingburg, was found deceased at his residence on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, from natural causes.

Donald Cherry obit 554_edited-1He was born February 16, 1937 in Spencer County, Indiana, to Loran J. and Lucille E. (Klueh) Cherry. He was a retired salesman for Leland Lumber Company. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Dennis Cherry.

He is survived by:

Two sons and two daughter-in-laws,

Mike (Chelle) Cherry of Huntingburg, Ind.,

Alan (Cathy) Cherry of Huntingburg, Ind.;

One sister,

Sylvia Schmitt of Jasper, Ind.;

One brother,

Paul Cherry of Ind.;

by (3) grandchildren and (2) great grandchildren.

A memorial funeral Mass for Donald Lee Cherry will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., on Friday, February 5, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. Cremation will take place prior to the funeral services.

Visitation will be held at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 9:00-10:45 a.m., on Friday, the day of the funeral. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com
