Alice M. Betz, age 80 of Schnellville, Indiana, passed away at 9:31 a.m. on Thursday (May 5, 2016) at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper, Indiana.

Alice BetzAlice was born on May 19, 1935 in Jasper, Indiana to Joseph and Elizabeth (Schneider) Jahn. She married Alois “Ollie” Betz on October 15, 1953 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on February 4, 2006.

Alice retired from Kimball International – Jasper Furniture Company.

She was member of St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine and their St. Anne’s Society.

She enjoyed working with her flowers, enjoyed nature, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death beside her husband was one brother;  Bob Jahn and three sisters; Martha Betz, Mary Goeppner, and Pat Durcholz.

Funeral services for Alice M. Betz will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (May 7, 2016), at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service on Saturday (May 7, 2016) at St. Celestine Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Celestine Catholic Church, Northwood Good Samaritan,  or to the wishes of the family.
