The group Next Act, Inc, who is working to rehabilitate and renovate the Astra in downtown Jasper has announced six opportunities for naming rights at the historic theatre.

The announcement comes nearly two months to the day after the group launched its first public fundraising campaign.
The six areas eligible for naming include:

  • The billboard area of the marquee, which will not include altering the iconic neon in any way
  • The ticket/box office
  • The balcony
  • Sound and light booth
  • Concessions area
  • And coat room

Once new naming rights are acquired, these areas will join the Jim and Pat Thyen Performance Stage and the Dubois County Tourism Green Room as the the only areas in the facility already accounted for with naming rights.
Next Act is currently in need of and working toward raising the necessary matching dollars for several large grants, including a $400,000 Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs opportunity on which the City of Jasper has partnered and Indiana Region 15 is leading the application process.

For additional information about these opportunities, pricing information, or more details, email Marc Steczyk, Next Act’s president, at marcsteczyk@gmail.com or info@TheNextAct.org.
