Glenda “Sue” Schmitt, 76, of Evansville, formerly of Dale, passed away, Monday, May 30th at Brentwood Golden Living Center in Evansville. Glenda was born February 12, 1940 in Spencer County to Albert and Iona (Jones) Ruston. She married Kenny Schmitt on March 27, 1958.

He preceded her in death on May 29, 2004. Sue is survived by three sons, Larry (Angie) Schmitt of Evanston, Steve (Becky) Schmitt of Florida and David Schmitt of Evansville; one daughter, Cathy (Shawn) Schwindel of St. Meinrad; fifteen grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gay (Glen) Schriefer of Cleveland, OH and Anne (Alan) Lottes of Washington, IN.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 11th at 1:00 CDT in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dale with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 11:00 AM CDT until time of services.

Father Anthony Vinson, OSB will officiate.
