A pair of juvenile females both age 17 are facing felony charges of robbery resulting in bodily injury after an incident in May caused two Bretzville men to be injured. We confirmed with the Dubois County Security Center that 17 year old Alyssa Hawkins and 17 year old Emily Bell were first placed under arrest in Vanderburgh County.

Prior to this back on Monday May 23rd just after 2 am, deputies with the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department were called to the 5000 block of South State Road 162 to the report of the robbery and assault.

When they arrived, deputies determined two male subjects at the residence met the two 17 year old females through an internet site and invited them to their residence near Bretzville.

Authorities say after the females arrived at the Bretzville location, the group talked on the front porch of the home when authorities say two unknown African-American males approached the group and struck one of the men on the back of the head with a baseball bat.

They say the second male pulled a shotgun out and demanded money from the other man who lived at the residence, turning over several hundred dollars to the man. They say the two females and two males left the home and headed south on State Road 162.

Now sometime during the robbery, police say the second victim was struck in the face and arm by the assailant with the baseball bat.

The two male victims were taken to Jasper’s Memorial Hospital one of which, the one that was struck in the head was transferred via life-flight for treatment. Both have since been released from the hospital.

We confirmed with the Dubois County Security Center that 17 year old Alyssa Hawkins and 17 year old Emily Bell were placed under arrest in Vanderburgh County. One is charged with a Level 2 felony count of inducing and aiding in a robbery resulting in serious bodily injury and the other is charged with a Level 3 felony count of inducing and aiding in a robbery resulting in bodily injury.

On Wednesday the two of 17-year old were taken to and booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
