Officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation say lanes along the U.S. 50 Bridge spanning the White River in Daviess County will be closed for the next two and a half months.

INDOT says starting today  contractors will shut down one lane on both east and west bound U.S. 50 near Maysville while crews perform bridge maintenance, including cleaning and joint sealing.

INDOT says each direction will have one 12-foot lane open at all times during the project.

Lane closures will be in affect around the clock. Work is expected to last until mid to late August, depending upon weather conditions. INDOT urges motorists to slow down and stay alert near crews.
