No one was injured in a three vehicle accident that took place Wednesday morning on Jasper’s west side.

Jasper Police say shortly before 8 am a pickup driven by 59-year old Stanley Verkamp of Jasper, was westbound on State Road 56. Police say during that same time another pickup driven by 17-year old Jared Schwenk of Jasper was headed north on County Road 350 West and did not see Verkamp’s oncoming truck pulled his vehicle into the intersection.

Police say Verkamp could not stop his truck intome to avoid a collision and struck the passenger side of Schwenk’s truck.

Police say Verkamp then veered to the north, where it struck a passenger car driven by 21-year old Tyra Wilson of Jasper who was stopped at the intersection with the highway.

Police say $10,000 damage was sustained to Schwenk’s pickup, $7,000 to Verkamp’s while the Wilson vehicle picked up $5,000 in damages.

Police cited Schwenk for failing to yield the right of way.
