Betty Jean Baisas, 82, of Jasper, formerly of Pensacola, Florida and Evansville, Indiana, passed away at 6:34 a.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

She was born September 6, 1934, in Pensacola, Florida to John M. and Zelena Mae (Hammac) Alford. Betty worked as an LPN; she was alumni of University of Kentucky. She lived in the Philippines, California and in Evansville alongside her husband, Dr. Wilfredo “Fred” Biasas, who worked as an emergency physician. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, who died on August 9, 1979; a son, Bobby Lott; two daughters, Debra Matthews and Barbara Burnett.

She is survived by three children, Sharon Conklin of Charlotte, North Carolina; Michael Aggerton of Pensacola, Florida; Catherine Lucas-Maurer of Knoxville, Tennessee; a sister, Edna Hill of Clermont, Florida; her caregiver, Carolyn Green of Dale, Indiana; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., Friday, February 17, 2017, at Dale Cemetery, Dale, Indiana. Craig Taylor will officiate the service.
