John Daniel “Dan” Bush, age 74, of Otwell, passed away at 5:00 a.m., C.S.T., on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

He was born December 26, 1942, in Velpen, Indiana to Eugene “Buck” and Pansy (Eads) Bush; and was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Schnarr on December 31, 1960, at the Otwell Wesleyan Church. Mr. Bush worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local #546, now known as Local #224. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jerry Bush and Phillip Bush.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Bush of Otwell; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Dee (John) Burgess of Shelbyville, Indiana and Alice (Rick) Goeppner of Otwell; one sister, Lora Etta Henry of Greenwood, Indiana; his half-sister, Jean Kamplain of Washington; his grandson, Dustin Daniel Potts and granddaughter, Jaydlyn Goeppner both of Otwell.

Funeral services for John “Dan” Bush will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Sunday, February 5, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at the Otwell Cemetery in Otwell. Reverend Roy Stilwell will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Saturday; and also from 12:00 noon-2:00 p.m., on Sunday. Memorial contributions can be made to the Otwell Wesleyan Church. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com
