Kemmel Lee McKim, age 86, of Huntingburg, passed away at 9:15 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017, at The Waters of Batesville in Batesville, Indiana.

He was born December 4, 1930, in Taswell, to William and Anna (Sturgeon) McKim. Kemmel married Mary Ann Mullen on April 22, 1950. Before moving to Batesville, Kemmel was a truck driver and a member of the New Hope General Baptist Church in Birdseye. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann McKim, who passed away on July 17, 2005; son, Terry McKim; daughter, Kimberly Ann McKim; sisters, Anmae Snider, Frances Sturgeon, Lois Atkins, Ruby Patton, Lois Enlow and Closis Hollen; brothers, Charles, William and Gido Atkins.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Jane (Joseph) Russell of New Baden, Illinois; son, Steven Allen (Patricia) McKim of Moores Hill; brother, Kenneth McKim of Paoli; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 1:00-2:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Funeral services held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home with burial at the Highfill Cemetery in Taswell. Condolences may be shared at: www.nassandson.com
