Kimball International Recognized as Gold Level Fit Friendly Work-site

Award recognition with Bob Schneider, Chief Executive Officer, Lisa Day, Benefits and Wellness Specialist, and Kate Mullen, Youth Market Director of the American Heart Association

Kimball International, Inc. was recognized as a Gold Level Recipient of the American Heart Association’s Fit-Friendly Work-sites Recognition Program.The Fit-Friendly Work-sites program is a catalyst for positive change.

Work-sites throughout the nation can be part of the initiative by making the health and wellness of their employees a priority. Kimball International was recognized as a Gold Level Fit-Friendly Work-site by the American Heart Association’s My Heart. My Life. Initiative for: Offering employees physical activity support. Providing and increasing healthy eating options at the work-site. Promoting a wellness culture and implementing at least nine criteria as outlined by the American Heart Association in the areas of physical activity, nutrition and culture.

Chief Administrative Officer, Lonnie Nicholson said that Kimball is extremely honored and excited to be recognized by the American Heart Association as a Gold Level Fit Friendly Work-site. Also stating that physical activity and employee wellness are very important priorities at Kimball International and that Kimball encourages their employees to incorporate physical activity and healthier nutrition habits into their workday to promote greater health.
