Wilma L. Neukam, age 92, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 4:10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Brookside Village in Jasper, Indiana.

Wilma was born in Harbison Township, Indiana, on July 3, 1924 to Leslie and Mattie (Meyer) Freyberger.  She married Willis John Neukam on October 8, 1955 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on December 29, 1989.

She retired from Jasper Laundry and Cleaners.

She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Crossroads in Dubois, Indiana.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and seeing her grandkids and great grandkids.

Surviving are two sons, Charles Burk (Linda) and Duane Neukam, both of Jasper, IN, son-in-law, Charles Denton, Jasper, IN, one sister, Helena Thomas, Columbus, IN, five grandchildren, and eight great- grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband are one daughter, Deborah Denton, and one sister, Leona Giesler.

A funeral service for Wilma L. Neukam will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Crossroads in Dubois, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Friday.
