Kenneth R. Hochgesang, age 72 of Jasper, IN, passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

Kenneth was born in Washington, Indiana on September 9, 1944 to Martin J. and Louise (Bachman) Hochgesang.

He retired from Crop Production Services in Jasper and previously worked for Jasper Plant Foods.

He was a member of the Ireland Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed farming, especially driving tractors, and visiting with friends.

Surviving are two sisters, Emma Hochgesang-Noffsinger, and husband Tom, Cornelia, GA, Monica Hochgesang-Roy, Chandler, IN, two brothers, Larry Hochgesang, Jasper, IN, Mike Hochgesang, and wife Pat, Jasper, IN. Nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were two sisters, Mary Rodriguez and Martha A. Hochgesang, and one brother, Charles Hochgesang.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Kenneth R. Hochgesang will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
