Officials with the Jasper Street Department say they along with its contractor, Seal Master, will begin the next phase of their Asphalt Pavement Preservation (or Liquid Road) project next Tuesday, June 20th.

Work will commence barring inclement weather or any other unforeseen events.

The department says the surface coating is similar to seal coating, but is thicker, more durable & designed to last longer than ordinary seal coating. Affected Residents will be notified via a door hanger the day before the application begins.

Streets which will be affected include:

St James Avenue from Highland to the South Cul-de-Sac

Hill Rd from “C” St to “B” Street

“C” St from Hill Rd to Hillbrook Rd

Hillbrook Rd from “C” to “B” Streets

Liberty St from 3rd to St. James Avenues

Hochgesang Ave from Brames Road & South Newton

Westlin Dr – off of 5th Street

Ryan Rd – off of Skyview Drive

Mulberry Street from 5th Avenue to Division Road

Logan Street – off of Gregory Lane

Beckman Street from Kundeck to Maute Streets

Scenic Court from North of Pleasantview Dr

Lee Drive – South of 41st Street

Timberpoint Court – South of 41st St

11th St from Main & Jackson Streets

and 11th St from Jackson & Mill Streets

Residents are asked to please have all vehicles removed from garages, streets & driveways prior to 7 AM on the day your street is to be paved and remain out until the Street is re-opened. Vehicles will not be allowed on these streets during the improvement project.

Each street affected will be closed for approximately 2 days for this 2 coat process, depending on weather & material drying conditions.
