Wanda L. Lane, age 86, of Jasper, Indiana, formerly of Wickliffe, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Northwood Good Samaritan Retirement Community, Jasper, Indiana.

She was born March 24, 1931, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Clifton, Sr. and Virginia (Richey) Cook . She was united in marriage to Elias “Melvin” Lane on December 6, 1947. She was, in her own words, a domestic engineer. She was a member of Jasper Church of the Nazarene. Wanda loved her church and sang in the choir for many years. She also loved puzzle books and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; a daughter, Sandra Kay Lane; siblings, Clifton Cook, Jr., Cleo “Cookie” Simpson and Ernest Barley.

He is survived by her son, Jerald L. (Patricia) Lane of Kingman, Arizona; her caregiver, Stephani (Gregory) Lane; brothers, Melvin (Marie) Cook of Indianapolis, Jack Cook of Birdseye, and Norman Cook of Indianapolis; three grandsons, five great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

Services for Wanda L. Lane will be held at Nass and Son Funeral Home, Huntingburg on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at 4- 8:00 on Monday. Burial will take place in the Birdseye Cemetery. Pastor Darrell Waninger and Pastor Steve Beck will officiate the service. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Memorial donations may be made to the Dubois County Special Olympics.
