Darin Atkins, age 49, of Birdseye, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at his residence.

He was born September 21, 1967, in Jasper, Indiana to Jack and Mary Lee (Lawrence) Atkins. Darin was a former employee of Jasper Rubber Products. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Atkins, who passed away in 2008; and two daughters, Tiffany Leona Atkins and Brittany Rose Atkins, who both passed away in 2006.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Lee Atkins of Birdseye; his four year old daughter, Daisy Lee Atkins of Hillham; and one brother, David G. Atkins of Birdseye.

Funeral services for Darin Atkins will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 24, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye. Pastor Melvin Matthews will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Monday, the day of the funeral. Memorial contributions can be made out to the funeral home to assist with burial expenses. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com.
