TRI-CAP has completed its three-year term as the Rotary Club of Jasper’s charity of choice.

As such, a focused effort was made by the Rotary Club to redirect fundraising dollars from the Club to TRI-CAP.

To date, the Rotary Club has contributed a handmade outdoor musical playground device, a used minivan, and the majority of the funding and volunteers needed to replace TRI-CAP’s playground wood mulch with a long-lasting, colorful rubber mulch.

The total value of all donations (excluding volunteer time) received over the past three years exceeds the $13,400 investment from the Rotary Club of Jasper.

TRI-CAP says they are ecstatic to have received such impactful support from the Rotary Club of Jasper! All items are investments which they otherwise could never have afforded.

They say even better, these sustainable items meets their federal grants’ local match requirements. They say the volunteer time from the twelve Rotarians over two Saturdays was incredible. They had a great time and made sure that every detail was taken care of.

To complete Rotary’s final project with the playground mulch replacement, the Dubois County Community Foundation contributed $2,500 and one Rotarian’s employer, People Ready, contributed an additional $1,000.

More in-kind services were provided through the use of equipment provided by Evanston Valley Enterprises and Roesner Farms. Everyone at TRI-CAP is extremely grateful for the local collaboration of so many groups and individuals.
