Kimball International recently received re-certification to the new ISO 14001:2015 standard for Environmental Management Systems and the ISO 9001: 2015 for Quality Management Systems.

The standard, published by the International Organization for Standardization, is an international reference for environmental management requirements. Kimball achieved all conformance levels for sustainability certification.

The focus is for Quality Management Systems is leadership, planning, support, operation, performance evaluation and improvement with the intent to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

It also acts as a tool to streamline processes and make them more efficient at what they do.

Kathy Sigler, Vice-President of Operations at Kimball says the certification relies heavily on total employee commitment to integrate continuous improvement and normal business operations. She says during times of great change, the certification continues to demonstrate their commitment to deliver excellent products and service through a quality culture foundation.
