Raymond “Frog” M. Hopf, age 54, of Ferdinand, Indiana, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at home.

Raymond  was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on February 13, 1963, to Rufus and Hildegard (Jacob) Hopf.

He was a 1981 graduate of Jasper High School.

Raymond previously worked for Pat Brescher Trucking, and currently worked for Werner Sawmill.

He was a member of  the Duff Conservation Club.

He was an avid Cincinnati Reds, Indianapolis Colts, and NASCAR fan.  He enjoyed Truck and Tractor Pulls and camping.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph Hopf (Kathy), Nashville, TN,  Anthony Hopf (Abigail), San Antonio, TX,  two sisters, Doris Harris, Ireland, IN,  and Carolyn Conen (Wesley), Huntingburg, IN, four brothers, Gene Hopf (Barb), Ireland, IN, Alfred Hopf, Princeton, IN, Michael (Julie) Hopf, Huntingburg, IN, Jerry Hopf (Debbie), Huntingburg, IN, sister-in-law, Kristina Hopf, Huntingburg, IN, several nieces and nephews

Preceding him in death besides his parents are two brothers Greg and Stanley “Stretch” Hopf.

Funeral services for Raymond “Frog” M. Hopf will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Indiana, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
