Tamara J. “Tami” Eckert, age 55, of Huntingburg, passed away Sunday morning, July 30, 2017, at her residence.

She was born September 18, 1961, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Eugene “Red” and Darlene D. (Schmidt) Eckert. Tami worked as a Qualified Medical Assistant in the home health care field. She enjoyed reading, painting and working on puzzles. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene “Red” Eckert.

Tami is survived by her mother, Darlene D. Eckert of Huntingburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Tony (Donna) Eckert of Huntingburg; and her sister, Erica Eckert of Tell City.

Funeral services for Tamara “Tami” Eckert will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg. The Reverend Fr. Ryan Hilderbrand will officiate at the service.
