The 37th annual Huntingburg Herbstfest will get into full swing this evening. The fest will run today through Sunday at Huntingburg City Park, at East First and South Cherry streets.
Preliminary events took place this past Sunday when 17-year old Jenna Brock of Huntingburg was crowned the 2017 Miss Herbstfest by 2016 Miss Herbstfest Bailey Barrett at the Southridge High School auditorium.
14-year old Karly Barnett was crowned Pre-Teen Miss Herbstfest.
Everyone is invited to join in the community-wide family fall festival.
You can experience the heritage festival tht will feature carnival rides, food and game booths, kid’s games, pumpkin launches, mud wrestling, outhouse races, a parade, beer garden, and many more fun events.
Events kick off at 5 o’clock tonight with the craft show at the Main Shelter House. Also at 5 food and game booths as well as carnival rides open in the Midway.
At 5:30 pm tonight the Kirby Stailey Band will perform on the Midway Stage
The beer garden will open at 6
At 7 the Southridge Singers perform on the Main Stage; a button is required
All booths and beer garden will close at 9:30 pm.
Plenty of other events, activities and entertainment will follow Friday evening and all day and evening Saturday including the final round of the WBDC Cornhole Tournament of Champions.
The Wildcard Match will start at 1 pm at the basketball courts and the championship round will take place at 3 pm at the basketball courts as well.
The final day on Sunday will of course be highlighted by the parade on Fourth Street.
