Whitney Sharon Rose Patterson, age 32, of Evansville, passed away at 4:00 p.m. C.D.T., Thursday, September 21, 2017, at her home in Evansville.

She was born September 13, 1985 in Jasper, Indiana to Dean Patterson and Lauren (Stout) Patterson. She was a staff writer and assistant editor at News 4 U Magazine in Evansville. She was a social and political activist; a member of the Tri State Alliance; enjoyed art, painting, writing stories and poetry. She loved animals; especially dogs and referred to her canine pets, Roo and Jett, as “her girls”.

She was preceded in death by her fraternal grandfather, Robert Patterson; her maternal grandparents, Ruth Pauly and Eddie Stout; her aunt, Sharon Stout.

Whitney is survived by her mother and stepfather, Lauren and Max Mollette of Grandview, IN ; her father, Dean Patterson of Kaneohe, Hawaii; her fraternal grandmother, Imogene “Jean” Patterson of Jasper; Siblings, Brian, Daniel and John of Birdseye and Latisha and Eric of Kaneohe, Hawaii; her best friend, D’Arcei Morgan O’Leary of Evansville; Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

A memorial service for Whitney Patterson will be held at 1:30 a.m., on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Christian Church at Alfordsville, IN (address: 6386 S. Church St., Loogootee). Friends may call for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at 12:30 p.m.. There will not be any visitation at Nass Funeral Home. Brother Jason Denton will lead the service.
