Mary Ella Ermert, age 85, of Huntingburg, passed away at 12:32 a.m., on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

She was born April 27, 1932, in Perry County, Indiana to Edward and Evelyn (Long) Evrard; and married Harold Louis Ermert on April 18, 1950, in Dale, Indiana. Mary was a homemaker and member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Louis “Chalkie” Ermert, who passed away on August 15, 2015; one brother, Estil Evrard; and one great grandchild.

She is survived by one son, Joe (Janis) Ermert of Indianapolis; two daughters, Janice (Rick) Kays Hill of Huntingburg and Camille Faye (Tom) Neeley of Newburgh; one brother, Jim Evrard of Washington; three sisters, Clara Mae Blesch of Holland, Ina Jo Thompson of Chandler and Ruth Ann Manion of Mableton, Georgia; five grandchildren, Alex, Amber, April, Brianne and Elizabeth; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mary Ella Ermert will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with interment at Mayo Cemetery near Duff. Reverend Mark West will officiate at the service.
