Nancy C. Meyer, age 81, of Huntingburg, passed away at 7:14 p.m., on Monday, October 23, 2017, at her home.

She was born June 21, 1936 in Huntingburg, Indiana to Marion and Lillian (McMillen) Dearing; and in 1954 married Theodore J. Meyer at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg. Nancy was employed as a nurse’s aide at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 29 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Quilters, the Ladies Red Hat Society, and enjoyed caring for and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore J. “Ted” Meyer, who passed away on July 12, 2017; one infant daughter; three brothers, Jack Dearing, Jerome Dearing and Bud Dearing; and three sisters, Jean Ingle, Fern Tanner and Dede Tanner.

Nancy is survived by two sons, Michael Alan (Susan) Meyer of Jasper and Gregory Scott (Carol) Meyer of Ireland; two daughters, Kristi Jo (Robert) Veatch of Huntingburg and Melinda Kay (Don) Breitwieser of Jasper; two sisters, Janice Oser of Huntingburg and Joann Blocker of Huntingburg; her caregiver, Linda Wyman of Birdseye; by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Nancy Meyer will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 27, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Ryan Hilderbrand.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 26th. A parish rosary prayer vigil will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com
