Larry R. “Cat Hair” Lindy, age 74, of Birdseye, passed away at 7:30 a.m., on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.

He was born February 21, 1943, in Patoka, Indiana to Ralph and Della Pear (Robb) Lindy; and married Eunice Convey on September 22, 1967, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Larry was a retired supervisor for the Norfolk Southern Railway. He was a member of the Birdseye Christian Church and the Jasper American Legion; served in the United States Navy as a Seabee; and enjoyed hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry is survived by his wife, Eunice Lindy of Birdseye; one sister, Carolyn Sue Stuckey of Patoka, Indiana; and one brother, Linus Ray Lindy of Sarasota, Florida.

Funeral services for Larry “Cat Hair” Lindy will be held at 7:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Friday, December 1, 2017, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Burial of his cremains will take place in the Birdseye Cemetery at a later date. The Reverend Ron Hickman will officiate at the service.
