Charles Eugene Heim, age 73, of Selvin, passed away at 7:19 a.m., Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.

He was born February 14, 1945, in Huntingburg, Indiana to Russell and Erma (Sickbert) Heim; and married Sondra Taylor on May 18, 1990.  Charles was a 20 year veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.  After his service in the Army, he worked as a mechanic and truck driver.  Charles was a member of the Selvin United Methodist Church, Boonville Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and Boonville American Legion Post #200.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Sondra Heim of Selvin; two sons, Jeffery Heim of Ferdinand and Troy Heim of Augusta, Georgia; three daughters, Belinda Hall of Jasper, Darlene Lawson of Clarksville, Tennessee and Charlene Roy-Heim of Evansville; one stepdaughter, Dawn Wibbeler of Selvin; three brothers, Irvin Heim of Chandler, George Heim of Huntingburg and Jess Heim of Holland; two sisters, Bev Martin of Henryville and Sue DeMontigny of Holland; by (16) grandchildren and (11) great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Charles Heim will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.S.T., on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial to follow at Selvin Cemetery in Selvin.  Pastor Karen Sureck will officiate at the service.  Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Warrick County Veterans Memorial Service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, February 20th.  An Odd Fellows vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made to Selvin United Methodist Church.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com
