A Jasper man was arrested after throwing 14 grams of marijuana out of his car window following a traffic stop.

27-year-old Skylar Carlson of Jasper was arrested on Tuesday afternoon after Jasper Police stopped his 1999 Mitsubishi Galant for travelling 45mph in a 25mph zone.

As the police officer approached the Mitsubishi he noticed that Carlson threw an object from the vehicle.

During a brief investigation police determined that Carlson had threw 14 grams of an alien leafy plant like substance out the window. The unknown substance field tested positive for marijuana.

Carlson was then transported to the Dubois County Security Center he is facing a charge of possession. He was also given a citation for littering.
