Ruth M. Lueken, age 78, of Huntingburg, passed away Monday evening, February 12, 2018, at St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was born November 6, 1939, in Morganfield, Kentucky to Raymond and Mary (Girten) Mills; and married Leon J. Lueken on May 29, 1965, at St. Mary’s Church in Huntingburg.  Ruth was employed at Jasper Engines & Transmissions, Jasper Holiday Inn and retired as a clerk at the Dollar General Store.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a former member of the Daughters of Isabella, St. Mary’s Ladies Sodality, associate member of the YMI Club and St. Vincent DePaul Society.  Ruth was preceded in death by one son, Kevin R. Lueken, who died November 27, 1973; three sisters, Ann Brockman, Mona Sauter, Martha Agnes Mills; and two brothers, Jim Mills and Tom Mills.

 

Ruth is survived by her husband, Leon J. Lueken, Sr. of Huntingburg; three sons, Leon J. Lueken, Jr. of Midlothian, Texas, Mark A. Lueken of Phoenix, Arizona and Chad D. (Yvonne) Lueken of Jasper; one brother, Ray Mills of Evansville; one sister, Sue Ingram of Richland; and by (16) grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ruth Lueken will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, February 16, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Ryan Hildebrand.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2:00-8:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 15th.  A parish rosary prayer vigil will be led by Deacon Tom Holsworth at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Vincent DePaul Society or a favorite charity.  Condolences may be shared online at:  www.nassandson.com
