Shirley T. Meyer, age 82, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 1:15 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Shirley was born in Huntingburg, Indiana, on December 16, 1935, to Harold C. and Leota (Helmerich) Frick.  She married Richard “Rich” Meyer on April 25, 1957, in Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg, Indiana.

She was a 1953 graduate of Huntingburg High School.

She worked as a bookkeeper and as a tax preparer since 1983.  She also had worked for the U.S. Census for many years.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.

She and her husband enjoyed travelling.  She also enjoyed reading, embroidery, flower gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Rich Meyer, Jasper, IN, five children, Brian (Janet) Meyer, Jasper, IN, Julia (Scott) Beck, Ireland, IN, Brad (Cathy) Meyer, Evansville, IN, Jan (Bryan) Meyerholtz, Huntingburg, IN, Keith (Wendy) Meyer, Jasper, IN, 11 grandchildren, Amanda Meyer, Jordan and Josh Beck, Chase, Clay, and Colton Meyer, Chelsey, Blaize, Logan and Hunter Meyerholtz, Adonica Meyer, three sisters, Beverly (Bob) Giesler, Birdseye, IN, Marie Seibert, Huntingburg, Brenda Gross, Evansville, IN, two brothers, Karl Frick, St. Augustine, FL, Marvin Frick, Jasper, IN.

Preceding her in death are one son, Kevin Meyer, four sisters, Helen Stobbe, Glenda Leibering, Wanita Wininger, Patricia Reinhart, five brothers, William, Harold, Wallace, Arthur, and Jacob Frick.

A funeral service for Shirley T. Meyer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel and one hour before services at the church on Tuesday.
