Kenneth L. Jochem, age 79, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 6:33 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper, Indiana.

Kenneth was born in St. Henry, Indiana, on March 22, 1938, to Peter Sr. and Rosie (Hohl) Jochem.  He married Josephine Bauer on April 24, 1965, in St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry, Indiana.

He was a graduate of Holland High School.

He retired from Indiana Furniture Industries, where he had worked for over 50 years.

He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper.

Kenneth enjoyed travelling with his wife and following Jasper High School sports, and he was an avid I.U. basketball fan.

Surviving are his wife Josephine Jochem, Jasper, IN, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are one sister, Alma Lannan, and two brothers, Peter Jr. and Norbert Jochem.

A Mass of Christian burial for Kenneth L. Jochem will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with entombment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at the church on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Northwood Retirement Community or to a favorite charity.
