Dubois County Community Foundation announces Hannah Wehr as the 2018 Lilly Community Relations Intern. As the Community Relations Intern, Wehr will assist in communications and marketing activities, nonprofit engagement and donor relations.

Wehr, daughter of Leon and Paula Wehr of St. Anthony, graduated in 2016 from Northeast Dubois High School where she was valedictorian of her class. Wehr’s nonprofit experience includes volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity Romania and Jasper Community Arts Commission. She is currently working towards her Bachelor of Science in Sociology at the University of Evansville.

This internship, a full-time position, is fully funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. The objective of the internship is to provide students with real-life work experience and an understanding of the roles community foundations and philanthropy play in our community’s quality of life.

I am incredibly grateful to have received this opportunity to become part of the Foundation team, and I look forward to gaining a better understanding of our local nonprofit community,” said Wehr, “The Foundation has such an expansive impact on our local community, and I am excited to see how I will be able to further expand my knowledge of philanthropy in Dubois County through this internship,” she said.

Hannah started her internship on Monday and will conclude in August.
