The report of a possible suspended driver eventually lead to the Wednesday afternoon arrest of a Jasper man and women after they allegedly provided authorities with bogus information.

Around 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon, the Jasper Police Department received information of a possible suspended driving from the city’s north side to a residence located along the 1300 block of Dewey Street.

When officers arrived to the Dewey Street location they were able to locate a vehicle matching the one described pulling into a parking lot.

Police say when they made contact with the driver, 29-year old Danielle Burton and 27-year old Angel Luna both of Jasper, the two both provided police with false names both verbally and in writing.

An investigation by police helped determine the true identities of both Burton and Luna.

Both were taken to and booked into the Dubois County Security Center on misdemeanor counts of Giving False Identifying statements to a police officer. Burton was also cited for driving while suspended.
