Fred J. Popp, age 69 of Portersville, Indiana, passed away at 3:34 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

Fred was born in Washington, Indiana on July 26, 1948 to Hilbert A. and Eldena L. (Harder) Popp.  He married Charlotte Miller on October 9, 1976 in St. Paul’s’ Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN.

Fred worked as a computer technician for Kimball International for many years.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, where he served on the church council and the capital stewardship campaign.

He enjoyed living in the country and spending time with friends and family.

Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Popp, Portersville, two sons, Chris Popp, Jasper, IN, Mark Popp (Krissy), Fredricksburg, VA.  five grandchildren, Ben, Quade, and Dawson Popp, and Nathan and Leo Popp, two brothers, Robert Popp (Myrna) Jasper, and James Popp (Linda), Jasper.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Louanna Nuhring.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Fred J. Popp will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, IN.  Pastor Tim Holt will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 30, 2018.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or to a favorite charity.
