Holy Trinity Catholic School in Dubois County has hired Jon Temple as its new principal at the East Campus, which serves Third through Eighth Grade. Jenna M. Seng, who has served the past two years as assistant principal at all three campuses, will serve as principal at the Central and West Campuses, which serve Preschool through Second Grade.

Temple, an Indianapolis native who has more than a decade of experience in teaching, coaching and administration, has served as social studies teacher at the school since 2015.

“Jon has made a great impact at Holy Trinity, said Father Gary Kaiser, pastor of Precious Blood Parish in Jasper and Priest Delegate to Holy Trinity. “He has the respect of staff, students and parents.  His enthusiasm for both education and our faith is apparent.  I look forward to working with both Jon and Jenna as we serve Dubois County.”

“I am humbled and honored to be chosen to serve as Holy Trinity’s next principal,” Temple said. “We are blessed in Dubois County to have a dynamic and supportive group of Catholic parishes and priests. I have witnessed first-hand the tremendous successes and growth our school has achieved over the past three years. Moving forward, we will build on our accomplishments, and always pursue new and creative ways to help foster students’ academic and spiritual growth. This includes working collaboratively with our supporting parishes, priests and Dubois County community. Together, we will continue to live our school mission: ‘Come to Learn, Go Forth to Serve, and Trust in the Divine Providence.’”

“Last year’s theme in Diocese of Evansville schools was ‘Called to Serve;’ I’m excited for the 2018-19 school year, as Jon and I personally answer the call to serve and step into new roles within Holy Trinity Catholic School,” Seng said. “As our enrollment continues to rise, the opportunities for our students to engage in rigorous academics and grow spiritually are made possible by the hard work of our dedicated staff and our 11 supporting parishes. Together, we’re preparing our students for high school and beyond.”

Temple is a graduate of Southport High School in Indianapolis, and he earned a degree in Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Hanover College in Hanover, Ind., in 2002. He has earned an additional 36 credit hour in special education, counseling education and economics from Indiana University/Purdue University-Indianapolis.

In addition to teaching for more than 15 years in Indiana public and private schools, Temple coached boys and girls basketball from 2003 through 2017. He has taught and coached at Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis, Westfield (Ind.) Middle School, St. Louis Catholic School in Batesville and at Holy Trinity, where he has served since 2015.

Temple is married to Jasper native Erin Sendelweck Temple, an anesthesiologist at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. The have four children: William (age 9), Stella (8), Camille (6), and Elloise (4). All attend Holy Trinity.

Seng and her husband Anthony, who works for Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Jasper, attended Holy Family School in Jasper from kindergarten through eighth grade. She is a 2004 graduate of Jasper High School.

She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Purdue University in 2008, and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Counseling Education in 2012 from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis. She earned her License in School Administration from Indiana University.

Seng and her husband have a son, Barrett, six months old.
