Indiana State Police are currently investigating a multiple vehicle crash that left 4 pedestrians injured in the New Boston Area. Around 11 o-clock Wednesday night, troopers with the Jasper Post were called to 11886 North State Road 545. Twenty-eight year old Patrick Gerber of Tell City collided with a juvenile driving a dark green BMW from Owensboro, KY. Gerber was uninjured, while the driver of the green BMW was treated for non life threatening injuries. However more serious injuries occurred as a vehicle in the collision struck 4 pedestrians. Two of those were transferred by ambulance, and two were airlifted for serious injuries. The names and locations of the injured pedestrians have not been released. Alcohol and drug usage were investigated, troopers are waiting for lab results. State Road 545 reopened just after 2 am Thursday morning. The accident is still under investigation and no other details have been released at this time.
