    Edward LeRoy Berry, age 81, of Huntingburg, Indiana, passed away at 11:15 p.m., on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana, following an accidental fall in his home on December 3rd.

            He was born January 9, 1937, in Kentucky, to G.E. “Bud” and Ruby (Rudd) Berry.  He married his wife, Linda Reed, in June of 1965.  LeRoy attended elementary school and high school in Kentucky; and received degrees from Murray State University.  He was a teacher and taught Industrial Arts at schools in Maryland, Kentucky and Indiana.  He coached sports for much of his career.  LeRoy taught at both Huntingburg High School and Southridge High School, before retiring in 1999 due to ill health.  He was a member of the Huntingburg United Methodist Church.  LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; and four sisters, Mary Ellen Duffy, Wanda Devine, Jane Berry and Carolyn Berry.

            He is survived by his wife, Linda Berry of Huntingburg, Ind.; two daughters, Julia Berry of Lafayette, Ind., and Lisa Berry-Tayman (daughter-in-law, Trilby Berry-Tayman) of Avon, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Paul and Claire Berry-Tayman of Avon, Ind.  He is also survived by one sister, Rita Dempsey of Sturgis, KY; and four brothers, Ralph Berry of Sturgis, KY, Ronnie Berry of Sturgis, KY, Pete Berry of Morganfield, KY and Doug Berry of Clarksville, TN.

            A memorial service for Edward LeRoy Berry will be held at 2:00 p.m., E.S.T., Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home, 208 N. Main Street, in Huntingburg, Indiana.  Reverend Lee Campbell will officiate at the service.

            Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 12:00 noon-2:00 p.m., E.S.T., Saturday, the day of the service.  Condolences may be shared with the family at:  www.nassandson.com
