Beverly A. Spaulding, age 81, of Jasper, Indiana, passed away at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at home.

 

Bev was born in Washington, Indiana, on March 22, 1937, to Bernard and Eva Mae (McDermott) Batchelor.  She married Silas W. Spaulding on October 1, 1961, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Washington, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on January 5, 2017.

 

She was a 1955 graduate of Washington Catholic High School.

 

Bev retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg, Indiana, where she had worked in housekeeping for over 20 years.

 

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, and the Jasper D of I.

 

She enjoyed playing bingo.

 

Surviving are one daughter, Kim Street, Jasper, IN, one son, Ron (Sue) Spaulding, Jasper, IN, four granddaughters, five great grandchildren.

 

Preceding her in death besides her husband, are one daughter, Sherri Spaulding, and two brothers, Robert “Bob” and Richard “Dick” Batchelor.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial for Beverly A. Spaulding will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Washington, Indiana.

 

A visitation will be held from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.  The Jasper D of I will pray a rosary at 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
