UPDATE: ARREST WAS MADE ON CHARGE OF MURDER AT 1:09 PM EST; VICTIM HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED (4:58 PM)

Indiana State Troopers are investigating a Murder that was believed to have occurred earlier today at a home located along the 5800 block of East County Road 650 East in St.Anthony.

Just before 8:30 this morning Dubois County 911 Center received an emergency call reporting that 23 year old Chloie Lubbehusen of English later was located on the property and was bleeding.

Within minutes Indiana State Troopers along with Dubois County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the residence.

Police say the suspect, Kyle Schnieder of Huntingburg, was located nearby almost immediately and is currently being detained by Indiana State Troopers.

According to Dubois County Sheriff’s Website, Kyle Schnieder was booked into the Dubois County Corrections Facility at 1:09 PM today on a charge of murder.

Lubbehusen was given immediate medical attention by law enforcement officers at the scene and by ambulance paramedics.

Police say tragically Lubbehusen later succumbed to the injuries and passed away at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. The victim’s family has been notified.

Indiana State Police Investigators and Crime Scene Technicians are currently on scene at the residence processing the crime scene.

Police say there is not is not a threat to neighbors or other parts of the community as investigators believe based on the facts and circumstances of the case thus far the situation has been contained.

All Suspects are Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law
