An Elnora man is behind bars after a domestic situation over a dog.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office responded early Monday morning to a residence at 103 West State Road 57 in Elnora.

A female complainant told deputies that 57-year-old Greg Goodheart pulled a gun on her during a domestic dispute over a dog.

While arriving at the scene, deputies learned that Goodheart had returned to his residence on East Day Street. Goodheart refused to cooperate with the police.

When investigating authorities learned that three juveniles were present at the time of the incident, as well as another adult male subject, 28-year-old Andrew Sanders of Elnora.

The Daviess County Strategic Response Unit executed a search warrant and took Goodheart into custody without any further incident.

The three juveniles who were present at the time of the incident were unharmed.

Sanders was located hiding in a crawl space and it was determined he was not wanted in any other county.

Goodheart is booked into the Daviess County Security Center on a Level 5 intimidation with a deadly weapon.
