Amy D. Carpenter, age 49, of Celestine, Indiana, passed away at 6:49 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana.
 
Amy was born in Washington, Indiana, on October 4, 1969, to Richard and Carolyn (Jackson) Parson.  She married Larry Carpenter Jr. on November 7, 1987.
 
Amy was a homemaker and enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.
 
Surviving are her husband, Larry Carpenter Jr., Celestine, IN, one son, Larry Carpenter III, and fiancé, Candi Vanpelt, Jasper, IN, one daughter, Christy (Chet) Johnson, New Harmony, IN, eight grandchildren, her mother, Carolyn Brett, Shoals, IN, and her father and stepmother, Richard (Carol) Parson, Wickliffe, IN, three brothers, Brian (Sabine) Parson, Germany, Tony Parson, and companion, Kaitlyn Winningham,  Los Angeles, CA and Joshua Brett, and companion, Crystal Fultz, Shoals, IN.
 
Preceding her in death is her stepfather, Kenneth Brett.
 
A funeral service for Amy D. Carpenter will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana, with burial to follow at a later date.  Pastor Claude Lagenour will officiate.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until the 5:00 p.m. service time on Saturday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper, Indiana.
