Ruby Thimling, age 97, of Holland, Indiana, passed away at 9:43 a.m., on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

 She was born October 1, 1922, in Dubois County, Indiana, to Frank and Lydia (Harmeyer) Sickbert; and married Ambrose Thimling on January 6, 1946, at St. James Lutheran Church in Holland.  Ruby was a homemaker and member of St. James Lutheran Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose Thimling, who died in 2001; two sons, Kenneth Ray Thimling, who died in 2001 and Mark Eugene Thimling, who died in 1953; one brother, Irvin Sickbert; and one sister, Alice Klusmeier.

Ruby is survived by one son, Steven Jon (Kathy) Thimling of Sauk City, Wisconsin; one daughter, Sharon Krampien of Normal, Illinois; four grandchildren, Brian Thimling, Cheryl (Dan) Granger, Kyle Thimling and Zach Krampien; and three great-grandchildren, Connor Thimling, Oliver Thimling and Rylan Thimling.

Funeral services for Ruby Thimling will be held at 11am E.S.T on Wednesday, November 27th, 2019 at St. James Lutheran Church in Holland with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Pastor David Darling will officiate at the service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 26th, and also at the church from 10:00-11:00 am on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ruby’s memory would be appreciated and can be made to St. James Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.  Condolences may be shared online at www.nassandson.com
