A Branchville Correctional Facility employee is behind bars.

According to an Indiana Department of Correction press release, custody officer 24-year-old Marissa Swimm was arrested Monday morning.

Swimm is facing charges of official misconduct and trafficking with an inmate.

Swimm began working as a custody officer for the Indiana Department of Correction in October of 2018.

She is placed on suspension without pay due to the investigation.

Officials say the investigation began in August.

This is still an ongoing investigation, and more charges are expected to be filed.
