The Dubois County Health Department has confirmed 19 new cases of COVID-19.

Dubois County now has a total of 1,040 positive cases.

Out of these 1,040 positive cases, approximately 139 cases are active, and 882 have recovered.

19 deaths have been reported as well.

8,536 residents tested have been tested for the virus, as of Thursday morning.

The Dubois County Health Department also wants to remind everyone that COVID-19 is continuing to spread community-wide.

According to the Indiana State Department of Health, the entire county is experiencing an increase in weekly cases and in positivity rates.

The best way to keep yourself and others protected are by practicing social distancing, washing your hands frequently with soap and water, and to mask up.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Sneeze or cough into a tissue or the inside of your elbow.

Stay home if you feel sick and continue to practice social distancing. Stay at least 6 feet away from others.
