Wilda F. (Stephens) Snyder, age 92 of Dale, Indiana died on New Year’s Eve, days away from her 93 birthday at Northwood Retirement Community Good Samaritan in Jasper, Indiana. She was born on January 14, 1929  to Harry and Edythe (Griffith) Stephens, in her grandparents home, being the first born of four children.  She married Charles W. Snyder on October 28, 1947, in Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Dale, Indiana.
Wilda was a graduate of Dale High School class of 1947. She was an employee of GE in Huntingburg. The Snyder’s were Justice of the Peace for Spencer County, Indiana for many years. Wilda’s priority in her life was taking care of her family, her home and her fur babies. She enjoyed jitterbug, square dancing, reading, word search puzzles, crocheting, painting in oils, collecting antiques, watching Mother Angelia and listening to country music.  
 
She was a Ladies Sodality member of St Joseph Catholic Church, Dale and also Precious Blood Catholic Church, Jasper.
 
Wilda is survived by three daughters; Linda Holmes of Washington, IN.,  Gail (August “Augie”) Hurst and Karen (John) Neu both of Jasper, IN. Six grandchildren; Lisa (Chad) Splawn of Matthews, NC., Grant (Shannon) Holmes of Selvin, IN., Tina (Matthew) Freyberger of Dubois, IN., Kevin (Nicole) Hurst of York, ME., Jennifer Neu, Nashville, TN., and Kody Neu, Plainville, IN.  Four great grandchildren; Eli Freyberger, Lexi Freyberger, Makayla (Kaylie) Hurst and Paisley Neu. A younger brother, Warren (Ruth) Stephens and nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Snyder in 1999, a brother Jerry Stephens and sister Doris Terwiske.
 
A mass of Christian Burial is planned for Thurs. Jan 6, 2021 at 12 PM CST at St. Joseph Church in Dale, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 AM CST to the service time at the church on Thurs Jan. 6. 
 
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dale, Precious Blood Catholic Church, Jasper and the Dubois County Humane Society or a favorite charity.
