Eleanor L. Loehr, age 88, of Holland, passed away at 10:42 a.m., Monday, November 30, 2015, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, Indiana.

Eleanor Loehr Obituary Photo514_edited-1She was born October 10, 1927 in Stendal, Indiana, to Clarence and Helen (Weitkamp) Weitkamp.  She married Leroy Loehr on June 15, 1948, in Zoar, Indiana.  Eleanor was a farmer’s wife; a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland, where she was active in the Women of the Word; and a 50 year member of the Happy Homemaker Demonstration Club.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Loehr, who died October 23, 2014; two sisters, Luella Heilman and Wilma Buse; and two brothers, Eldo Weitkamp and Robert Weitkamp.

She is survived by:

One daughter,

Sandra Royer of Englewood, Ohio;

Three sons and three daughter-in-laws,

Larry (Molly) Loehr of Naperville, Illinois,

Daniel (Jan) Loehr of Holland, Indiana,

David (Andrea) Loehr of Holland, Indiana;

Two sisters,

Rose Borman of Evansville, Indiana,

Roberta Wellmeyer of Holland, Indiana;

by (7) grandchildren and (8) great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Eleanor L. Loehr will be held at 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., onSaturday, December 5, 2015, at St. James Lutheran Church in Holland with burial to follow at St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Holland.  Pastor David Darling will officiate at the funeral service.

Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 3:00-8:00 p.m., on Friday; and also at St. James Lutheran Church in Holland from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday morning.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. James Lutheran Church.  Condolences may be shared online at: www.nassandson.com.
