WJTS TV 18 began programming on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 1993 with several features of “I Love Lucy” episodes and has been on the air with programs for all age groups. The station airs daily news, sports and weather. Local features are aired weekly as well as local church services on Sundays.

In addition to local programming, the station contracts with various production companies and completes a 24/7 week with America One Network.

WJTS TV 18 offers programs for many different demographic segments including all races, middle age, senior citizens, young adults, and children. Varied socioeconomic profiles make up the television audience.

Upon completion of 1987 feasibility study, it had indicated a community television station would work in Jasper, a license was filed with the FCC, and approved for construction in 1991.

In January of 2009, WJTS launched its Digital Signal on Channel 18 and is currently broadcasting in Digital.

WJTS airs: IHSAA Sports, and over 100 high school football, basketball, and baseball games from area schools. WJTS also carries The Outdoorsman, Purdue Express, Inside Notre Dame Football and Basketball and more.
