Indiana State Police are investigating the death of a Winslow woman late last week.

Authorities say 47-year old Rachel Boarman-Jones was found unconscious just after 4 pm Thursday in a residence along the 100 block of East Washington Street in Winslow.

Pike County EMS responded and Boarman-Jones was transported to Memorial Hospital in Jasper. She was then flown to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville where she died early Friday.

An Indiana State Police news release says the incident is being treated as “suspicious.” They say an autopsy was performed Friday afternoon, but results were inconclusive and that their investigation is continuing. No other details were released.
