Bigger cash prizes will be available for the annual Strassenfest Autolauf, set for Saturday August 6th.
Sponsored by the Jasper Rotary, the road rally will begin at the Schroeder Sports
Complex along 2nd, Avenue in Jasper just south of Jerry Brewer Alumni Stadium. Check-in begins at 9:30 am with the first car out at 12 noon.
The Autolauf is open to all types of cars and motor vehicles. The event is not a race but a rally where accuracy, timing, and the best poker hand wins the event.
Participants will be given a set of clues and will travel throughout the area and receive a playing card at each of the designated check points.
Entry fee is $20 per vehicle.
Cash awards of $100 each will be provided for the Best Poker Hand, Best Time and the Best Decorated Vehicle.
